I am experiencing American culture from a Native American perspective. I hope to bring you along on this journey. I believe I have walked among angels and even met God. Pine Ridge Reservation

It is home to many and it is at the center of the universe to the Oglala Lakota people. Our Oglala Lakota people have walked and lived throughout this area for sometime. As I have studied history and culture I realize we are our own strength. We have some people that would speak ill of the people but the fact remains, our value sytems seems to be much different from the American Value system. Whereas the American people value with the $ symbol and how much you have declares how much value you have in America. The Lakota have some of this system, we value family.
I have seen many people come back to the Reservation with different attitudes and now seem to struggle with the way of life among the Lakota. One man destroyed his brothers by going after the money rather than saving or helping the family cope with his parents death. I hope to see healing among our families.
